Distillery Information

"The "Old St. Croix" distillery story originates with Danish pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise, who began creating spirits on the Danish West Indies island of St. Thomas in 1838, using sugarcane from St. Croix. The brand, initially marketed under his name, was renamed "Old St. Croix" to evoke the Caribbean spirit and was famously awarded a gold medal at the 1893 Chicago World's Fair."
