This cuvée is the second batch of rum from the “Le Rejeton” range. It results from the assembly of vats of white rums obtained during different distillations. The final product is made up of a base of original Offspring with 10% overripe canes and 90% fresh canes, including a dominant percentage of R579 canes.

Papa Rouyo Blanc Le Rejeton 2021 | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: The first nose reveals notes of chlorophyll, stick liquorice and brown sugar.
After aeration, the aromatic is dominated by plants, twisted with black pepper and a hint of minerality.

Palate: The attack is nervous, the mid-palate is balanced between tension and opulence.

Finish: The finish offers a nice sweetness, leaving an electricity-purity duality in the mouth.

Distillery Information

Papa Rouyo is the nickname of Charles Albert Ruscade, a sugar cane grower born in 1900 in Le Moule, East Grande-Terre, who loved his land and his sugar cane. The distillery project is in part a tribute to him, co-founded with two of his descendants: his grandson Judes Galli and his great-grandson Joris Galli.
