"The Quezalteca distillery, officially known as Industria Licorera Quezalteca S.A., was established in 1940 by the Botran family, Spanish immigrants who brought their distillation expertise to Guatemala. The distillery is a key part of the larger Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala, which also produces other well-known spirits like Ron Botran."
