Glasgow's Jackton distillery released a trio of sherry-finished blended whiskies as part of its RAER collection. This edition was treated to a stay in first-fill oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, bringing vibrant fruit and candied nut sweetness that'll work a treat alongside a handful of nuts and raisins, and a couple of squares of dark chocolate, according to the Jackton team.

Nose: Rich and nutty with sweet dried fruit depth.

Palate: Stewed berries and baked orchard fruits join waves of caramel and vanilla, with hints of banana bread nestling beneath.

Finish: Lingering sweetness and spice, candied nuts, plump sultanas and fruit cake.
