Seelbach's Private Reserve 8 Year Old Cask Strength Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh, creamy, and citrusy. Notes of maple frosting, dark chocolate-dipped orange slices, with a backdrop of rolling Kentucky hills. As it opens, expect emerging hints of raspberry, barrel spice, toffee, and vanilla.

Palate: Full-bodied yet surprisingly round for its proof. Begins with a wave of raspberry, flat grape soda, and dark cherry before transitioning into buttered toffee, soft milk chocolate, confectioner's sugar, and seasoned oak. Mid-palate highlights spiced cherry cola flavors reminiscent of classic Indiana-aged Kelvin barrels.

Finish: Long and evolving. Starts with brown sugar and caramel, deepening into juicy flat grape soda, black cherry, and cracked pepper. A dry, mature oak finish lingers beautifully.
