A wonderfully complex malt with an absolutely perfect mouthfeel. Best enjoyed neat, or with a drop or two of water. Sherry maturation is evident on the nose with prune, raisin, and dry spice. Underneath the sherry notes, buttered cereal grain, vanilla and caramel wafer, along with a pleasant waxy note. On the palate, dark stewed fruits are completely in command with a robust backbone of vanilla blossom, caramel cream, and clove. The finish is long and pleasant with fruit persisiting as clove and anise linger.
