"The Strathclyde Distillery, Glasgow's last grain distillery (Gorbals), started in 1927 for gin spirits, became a major blend component (Ballantine's, Chivas), housed the short-lived Kinclaith malt distillery (1957-1975), and is now a key Pernod Ricard asset, famous for smooth grain whisky often bottled independently with notes of toffee and vanilla."
