This gorgeous collaboration between Suntory and the great Domaines Barons de Rothschild, the French wine estate, brings together the craft of Europe and Japan. Duo D’amis means friendship duet in French, to describe the friendship between the two, great companies.While all the grapes were grown in Japan, European varieties of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon have been blended with Japanese varieties, Muscat Bailey A and Black Queen, to great a harmonious world wine expression.The Muscat Bailey A and Merlot deliver the soft fruity sweetness while the Cabernet Sauvignon bring the depth and richness. Oranges and berries are evident throughout, with hints of oak and strong tannins lingering throughout.
