Suntory Old whisky is a series of whiskies from Suntory, first released in 1950 when it was considered the classiest of all of Suntory’s whiskies. The company occasionally releases new bottles of this brand, and this particular bottle was released to celebrate the Year of the Mouse. The whisky has a scent of marmalade and varnish, with somewhat faint earth and undergrowth notes. The taste reminds us of caramel, with grainy harshness and plastics peeking through; although it is somewhat suppressed.
