Origin: Scotland

Distillery: Tamdhu

An 18-year-old Tamdhu matured in a refill bourbon barrel, highlighting a lighter, fruit-forward side of the distillery’s spirit. Bottled at cask strength, it brings bright vanilla, citrus, honeyed malt and gentle spice, supported by a clean oak character. Natural colour and un-chillfiltered, this single cask presents Tamdhu with clarity and freshness, guided by G&M’s long-standing relationships and careful cask stewardship.

Distillery Information

Tamdhu Distillery, founded in 1897, is nestled in the heart of Speyside in Knockando, along the banks of the River Spey. Known for its rich, sherried house style, Tamdhu whisky is characterized by deep flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices, often with hints of vanilla and oak. Tamdhu's dedication to using only Oloroso sherry casks for maturation nods to a tradition that adds a distinctive depth and complexity to its single malts. After a brief closure in 2010, Tamdhu was revived by Ian Macleod Distillers, who continue to uphold its sherry-focused legacy.
