First, oak grown in North America is transported to Spain and cut into staves that are allowed to air dry in the warm Mediterranean climate.

Tamdhu Quercus Alba Distinction Release #3 Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Vanilla shortbread and custard are backed by toasted oak and dried orange wheels, with a touch of herbaceous malt nestling beneath.

Palate: Rich, sweet notes of sherried fruit and oak char, with butterscotch, honeycomb, and juicy, dark plums.

Finish: Oaken vanilla, chocolate caramels, marmalade, dates, and gentle peppery warmth.
