Distillery Information

"Teaninich Distillery, founded in 1817 by Captain Hugh Munro, is a historic Highland distillery known for its role in legal distilling, its connection to the legendary 'Blind Captain', and its primary function as a key malt producer for Diageo's blends, especially Johnnie Walker Red Label, featuring unique equipment like a mash filter. Its story involves early illicit roots, wartime challenges, major expansions, ownership changes (ending with Diageo), and a unique, light, grassy spirit profile, with limited official single malt releases."
