Tomintoul Anniversary Edition 50 Year Old 1973 Vintage Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich and aromatic with notes of maple syrup, sticky toffee pudding, spiced fruits and banana bread. 

Palate: Silky sweet and warming with hints of chocolate ganache, Black Forest gateau, manuka honey with dried figs and gingerbread. 

Finish: Complex and long-lasting with lingering flavours of fruit cake, cappuccino, black cherry and candied pecans.

Distillery Information

"Starting life as a small site with two stills, the number has since doubled. Its style also appears to have shifted on at least two occasions from the overtly fruity manifestations of its earliest guise to a more cereal-accented make in recent years. A peated variant, bottled as Old Ballantruan, is also now part of the portfolio. Its growing presence in the malt category will hopefully convince more people of its undoubted quality."
