Torabhaig The Legacy Series #4 - Sound Of Sleat Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Delicate orange followed by apricot and popcorn lending sweetness to the maritime seaweed that echoes in the glass. Subtle pipe tobacco and smoke is rounded by honey, vanilla and boiled sweets.
Palate: Light and zesty oak spice joined by the rich and sweet bonfire smokiness that is unmistakably Torabhaig. Subtle waxy notes with honts of honey and vanilla balanced by sea salt, seaweed, white pepper and sweet spice.
Finish: Lingering and elegant with hints of honey and maritime notes.
Distillery Information
(Tor-ah-vague) Only the second ever licensed Single Malt Scotch Whisky distillery on the Isle of Skye, only 200 years in the waiting until 2020 resulted in the first single malt whisky produced by Torabhaig distillery. After a painstaking 4 year restoration and build, Torabhaig has been fully operational since January 2017. The distillery was built on the old farmstead at Torabhaig, identified as the perfect location for a small, traditional distillery with the huge added bonus of the purest island spring water available just on its doorstep. Torabhaig produces a heavily peated single malt with smoky, fruity and maritime notes.
