Tullibardine 2015 Single Cask Nation Highland Region 9 Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Bright and citrusy with orange blossom, lemon tarts, fresh cereal, and buttered shortbread with hints of wet gravel behind.
Palate: Garibaldi biscuits (currants and bready-sweetness), lemon curd, vanilla custard, toasted oats, oak spice.
Finish: Lingering oak spice on the tip of the tongue with toasted oats, buttered popcorn, crystallized ginger, and cracked peppercorns to the back.
Distillery Information
The requirements of a single malt house – which Tullibardine became – necessitated some tweaking of the spirit run (introducing more high-toned floral notes now coming to the fore, with the nuttiness being dialled down) and a more 21st century wood policy with a massive influx of fresh casks.
