Size: 700ML
Proof: 97 (48.5%ABV)
Origin: Scotland
Distillery: Tullibardine
This 10 Year Old Tullibardine single malt bottled at 48.5% ABV by independent bottlers, Thompson Bros has been aged exclusively in red wine barriques. The full term maturation tends to siften the tannins of the red wine influence and bring more balance through oxidative ageing.
Tullibardine Thompson Bros 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: A vibrant mix of tart cranberries, fallen autumn leaves, and crème de cassis, accompanied by warm hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, sultanas, and raspberry cordial.
Palate: A blend of dry spices and berry compote, with clove-studded oranges, grapefruit juice, and a refreshing touch of crushed spearmint.
Finish: Dry and notably tannic, with lingering notes of lingonberry jam, cloves, and cinnamon.
Distillery Information
(tully-BAR-din) The current Tullibardine distillery, in Blackford, Perthshire was built in 1949 and was the first new malt distillery built in Scotland in the 20th Century. Tullibardine lay silent from 1994 to 2003; a new consortium bought the distillery and developed a retail park on the same site. Tullibardine is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that bottles on site. Travellers to the north of Scotland travelling through Perthshire will see Tullibardine clearly, sited right next to the Highland Spring bottling plant. Tullibardine produces a light, floral and fruity single malt whisky. In recent years, the brand has become known for its wine finishes.
