Nose: Refined, distinguished. The wonderfully well-balanced nose is at once apricoty, mineral, empyreumatic (hydrocarbon), vanilla, exotic (mango), camphoric, roasted (coffee), chocolatey, rooty (ginger), hot (Cayenne pepper), woody (sandalwood), spicy (cardamom) and floral (honeysuckle).
Palate: Lively yet full. Revealing a delicate texture, the attack exactly reproduces the nose’s mineral, empyreumatic and hot character. The mid-palate then seizes on fruity (apricot, mango), vanilla and finely woody notes.
Finish: The finish is quite unique, rich and long lasting.

Velier has been founded by Casimiro Chaix in Italy in 1947 and is perhaps the world's most well-known independent rum bottler, even if they understand themselves basically as co-bottlers. It is definitely one of the most prominent.
