Velier Saint James 2010 12 Year Old Series #2 Alex Webb Edition | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich and fleshy, with scents of sugar, honey and earthy notes such as gentian, combined with dark chocolate and seductive vegetal aromas.
Palate: Delicate and creamy, with hints of medicinal herbs, exotic spices (curry, turmeric) and spicy infusions such as laurel. Flavour notes of cocoa and candied ginger gradually unfold on the palate.
Finish: Long and soothing, close to sugar cane, with evolving notes of tertiary flavours such as mushrooms, toasted nuts, moss and chestnut. A milky retro-olfaction of soy and almond completes this sensory experience.
