Producer Information
Domaine d'Auvenay is a small Burgundian wine estate based in Saint-Romain. It is the third entity of the Leroy empire, named after Lalou Bize-Leroy. Her husband Marcel Bize previously ran the estate until he sadly passed away in 2004. Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are produced under the d'Auvenay label. There are only 4 hectares (10 acres) of vines, compared with the 22ha (54 acres) at Domaine Leroy, but these holdings include plots in the Mazis-Chambertin, Bonnes-Mares and Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru vineyards, as well as in a small handful of premier cru vineyards including Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières and Meursault les Gouttes d'Or.
