      Producer Information

Domaine Jacques Cacheux is a wine producer based in the commune of Vosne-Romanée, in the northern Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy's Côte d'Or. The winery is known predominantly for its Pinot Noir labels, grown in Vosne-Romanée and neighboring appellations. The domaine has been run since 1994 by Jacques' son Pascal. There are seven hectares (17 acres) of vineyards spread over 11 appellations, including plots in the Echezeaux Grand Cru and the Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru vineyards Les Suchots and La Croix Rameau. The latter is a tiny parcel split between three owners next to the Romanée-Saint-Vivant Grand Cru. No herbicides, insecticides or anti-rot treatments are used in the vineyards. Grapes are totally destemmed and undergo a week of cold maceration before a wild yeast fermentation. Premier and grand cru wines are generally aged in 100-percent new oak, and all wines are bottled without fining or filtration.
