      Producer Information

Domaines Albert Bichot is a leading family-owned and run négociant house and estate owner in Burgundy, formed in 1831 and now based in the town of Beaune. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grape varieties are unsurprisingly the main focus; the company also produces red wines from the Gamay grape in Beaujolais to the south. Albert Bichot, which is currently run by Albéric Bichot (who took over in 1996 and represents the sixth generation to run the wine company), owns more than 100 hectares (250 acres) of sustainably farmed vineyards divided among six estates. The majority of the Côte d'Or vineyard holdings are run organically. Domaine du Pavillon in Pommard boasts holdings across Côte de Beaune, including the Corton Grand Cru Monopole Clos des Maréchaudes as well as Corton-Charlemagne, Les Charmes in Meursault, Le Clos des Mouches in Beaune and Les Santenots in Volnay – among many others.
