HALL Wines is a leading Napa Valley wine producer, with wineries in Rutherford and St Helena. It specializes in wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon. Around half of the fruit used come from some 500 acres (200 hectares) of estate vineyards. The rest comes from a number of grower vineyards throughout the Napa Valley. Former diplomat Kathryn Walt Hall and her husband Craig Hall (owner of a major Dallas-based property business, HALL Group) founded HALL St Helena in 2003 after acquiring the historic St Helena Bergfield winery. This was once the home of the Napa Valley Co-op, which produced 40 percent of the regions wine. HALL Rutherford had originally been purchased in 1995, but was officially opened in 2005.
