Producer Information
Domaine Arlaud is a family-owned wine producer based in Morey-Saint-Denis, in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits subregion. Also known as Domaine Arlaud Père & Fils, it is best known for its Pinot Noir vineyards both in Morey and in neighboring Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin. These include holdings in the Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, Charmes-Chambertin, and Bonnes-Mares grand cru sites. In 1949, Joseph Arlaud acquired vineyard land as a wedding gift and, over time, was able to extend the family holdings and purchase the estate's headquarters – a 14th-Century cellar in Nuits-Saint-Georges – in 1966. Vinification and barrel-aging, however, take place in a modern cellar in Morey-Saint-Denis. Joseph Arlaud was succeeded by son Hervé and wife Brigitte in 1982. Latterly, their children, Cyprien, Romain and Bertille, have all taken a hand in the running of the estate with Cyprien taking over management in 2013.
