"The vineyards that make up Dominus Estate were first planted in the mid-19th century by George Yount, who also named the town of Yountville after himself. The vineyard was later purchased by John Daniel Jr., who owned the Inglenook winery, and then passed to his daughters, Robin Lail and Marcia Smith, after his death in 1970."
