Producer Information

Jable de Tao is a wine project from Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, created by Carmelo Peña Santana, also known for his Bien de Altura project in Gran Canaria. The project focuses on showcasing the unique volcanic terroir of Lanzarote through wines made from native grape varieties like Listán Blanco, Malvasía Volcánica, and Diego. Jable de Tao utilizes vines that are 50 to 200 years old, planted on their own roots, and grown on soils composed of volcanic material ("rofe") and sandy marine deposits ("jable").
