Fabulous Highland single malt from the Glen Ord Distillery, independently bottled by James Eadie as part of its Small Batch series. Distilled in 2011, this was matured for nine years in ex-bourbon casks, before bottling in 2021. The bottle has a nice acorn illustration on the label, inspired by The Acorn pub, which was owned by James Eadie in the 1800s.

Nose: Floral heather and blossom, charred wood.
Palate: Flaky, buttery apple pastry, sweet honey roasted nuts, and dried petals and just a dash of pepper spice.
Finish: Crisp fresh apples and pears, creamy, mouth coating texture with lingering sweet malt and gentle oak spice.
