These early 1980s vintages from Glenfarclas are always a pleasure to sample, offering concentrated notes of apple and pear with a distinct minerality and subtle spices. This particular bottling from a single refill hogshead is a perfect example of the style with added notes of lemon oil, nutmeg and ginger. A beautifully old-fashioned dram and a great entry in the peerless Family Cask series.
