Mortlach 10 Year Old That Boutique-y Whisky Company Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Generous helpings of sweet raisins and prunes, pear pastries, marzipan and a touch of mocha.
Palate: Big and bold with oily, meaty malt, dried fruits and chocolate Brazil nuts. Earthy coffee and barky spices nestle beneath.
Finish: Rich oak, cinnamon, and liquorice join candied fruit and caramelised nuts.
Distillery Information
The distillery was the first to be licensed within Dufftown, being founded by James Findlater, Donald Mackintosh and Alex Gordon in 1823. It passed briefly into the hands of the Grant brothers of Glen Grant fame who gutted the buildings and used the equipment for their distillery in Rothes.
