Aged in new Limousin French oak barrels of about 250 liter capacity, Neisson Rhum Agricole 18 year old rhum embraces a rich mahongany hue with notes of spice, warm wood and dark fruit on the nose. The enty is velvet smooth with a warm mouthfeel with slightly more oak flavors than Neisson 15, cinnamon, warm wood and sugar cane leading to a warm smoky oak finish. After aging 18 years only a couple of barrels of this rhum were bottled in 2013, 120 liter bottles were exported to the US.

Nose: Nose is complex yet not overwhelming.
Palate: Lovely, mild on the tongue with a slight burn at the end.
Finish: Finish is smooth and long.

A small distillery at the entrance of a fishing village on Martinique island. A small distillery owned by a woman, led by her son Gregory Vernant Neisson, who today is the last Master Distiller and owner in the island.
